I love traditional Japanese sweets such as daifuku, dango and manju. I could eat them all three times a day.

私は大福、団子、饅頭といった日本の伝統的なお菓子が大好きです。1日3回でも食べられそうです。

I have been living in Japan for 25 years now. Sometimes, I find it hard to think of a word in my own language because the Japanese word pops up first in my mind.

私は日本に住んで25年になります。時々、日本語の単語が先に頭に浮かんできて、母国語の単語が思い浮かばないことがあります。

What do you think is special about GnoKids compared to other English Schools?

グノキッズが他の英会話教室に比べて、特別だと思うところはどのようなところですか？

There are two main things that are special in GnoKids. One is team teaching and the other is using fun games to master vocabulary and phrases. With two native level teachers in the class, students can listen to actual conversations rather than just reading conversations from a text book. This has helped students improve their listening skills and also to talk with their friends in English. Games in the lesson give students a chance to say out or use the phrases and vocabulary besides creating healthy competition and a fun atmosphere in the classroom.

What is most important to you when teaching kids?

お子さまを教えるときに最も重要なことはどのようなことですか？

I think it’s most important when teaching children is providing them the confidence to keep trying as well as letting them know making mistakes is part of the learning process. When children see a teacher who is being patient, understanding, and kind, they become confident to speak and improve their language skills.

What do you think has helped your students improve the most?

どのようなことが一番お子さまの成長の助けになっていると思いますか？

Using games in class to practice vocabulary and phrases has helped children improve the most. Fun activities can also be takeaways for children to practice at home, or with their friends.

Where do you want to go in the world?

あなたは、世界のどこに行きたいですか？

I would like to go to Turkey, Greece and Morocco. I want to try authentic food such as falafel, moussaka and baklava.

What is your favourite place in Japan?

日本で一番好きな場所はどこですか？

My favorite place in Japan is Nasu. Everything about Nasu is fantastic including cheese and ice creams.

What do you do in your free time?

自由な時間は何をしますか？

I love walking and window shopping. I enjoy eating sweets and trying new cuisines.

What do you miss about India?

インドの何が恋しいですか？

I miss the food and going to the beach. I especially miss the sweets from India!
